Annual Poetry Contest Rules

The primary purpose of our annual poetry contest is to recognize and encourage emerging Pashto poets. In addition, we consider it just as important to familiarize writers and critics with state-of-the arts aesthetic criteria for explication and evaluation of individual poems. To achieve this goal, a set of prizes are being awarded each September, not necessarily to poets but to a limited number of poems submitted by the authors to a group of judges selected for this purpose. On the other hand, there is a separate prize issued to an established poet without any competition solely at the discretion of the judges.

The prizes are as follow:

First place award for a male poet $500
First place award for a female poet $500
One second place prize dedicated to free style poetry, poetry in contemporary mode, not bound by classical forms) $300
Two other second place prizes (any form) $300 each
One third place prize is $100
oet of the year award determined solely by the judges. $1,000
All submissions must be received via JonaidFoundation.org website by the deadline announced at the beginning of the year.
Immediate family members of the judges may not enter the contest.
Winer must wait at least 5 years before they can re-enter a contest.
Judges may adopt a well-thought, fair process of screening submissions before accepting to work on them.

د شعر د کلنۍ سیالۍ اصلي هدف د پښتو د تاندو شاعرانو تشخیص او هڅونه ده؛ خو پردې سربېره موږ دا جایزې د دې لپاره هم مهمې ګڼو چې لیکوال او منتقدان د هر ځانګړي شعر د شرحې او ارزونې له هنري او ښکلاییزو معیارونو سره آشنا کوي.
دې هدف ته د رسېدو لپاره د هرکال په سپټمبر میاشت کې یو شمېر هغو شعرونو ته څو جایزې ورکول کېږي چې لیکوال یې د دې کار لپاره ټاکل شویو حکمانو یا د جیوري ډلې ته وړاندې کوي.
یوه بله جایزه بیا د حکمانو په خوښه له سیالۍ پرته یوه مخکښ شاعر ته ورکول کېږي.
د جایزو ترتیب:
لومړۍ جایزه ۵۰۰ ډالر یوه نارینه شاعر ته
لومړۍ جایزه ۵۰۰ ډالر یوې ښځینه شاعرې ته
دوهمه جایزه ۳۰۰ ډالر د آزاد شعر لپاره (هغه اشعار چې په کلاسیکو فورمونو کې نه وي ویل شوي.)
دوه جایزې هره یوه ۳۰۰ ډالر د غوره شعر لپاره فورم ته یې له پام پرته
یوه دریمه جایزه ۱۰۰ ډالر
د ځلاند فرهنګي مشر جایزه ۱۰۰۰ ډالر د جیوري په خوښه
د شعر سیالۍ ته کاندید شوي شعرونه باید تر هغه مهلت پورې چې د کال په پیل کې ټاکل کېږي د

د حکمانو د کورنۍ غړي او نژدې خپلوان په دې سیالۍ کې ګډون نه شي کولای.
د کال د جایزې ګټونکي تر لږترلږه پنځو نورو کلونو پورې بیا په سیالۍ کې ګډون نه شي کولای.
د حکمانو ډله د وروستي پریکړو د پیلولو نه مخکې د شعرونو د لومړني ارزونې یوه پروسه غوره کولی شي.
